The Town thanks those residents who regularly cut grass and hedges in the alley behind their homes and who maintain a tidy boulevard.
The Town would like to remind residents that, where back alleys exist, all the land between your property and your neighbour across the alley is TOWN property. The Town will be cutting these alleys in the next few weeks and would appreciate that residents clear the alleys of debris, garden refuse, unwanted sod, trimmed branches and garbage that they have dumped there. You may be charged for the cost of removal if the Town has to clear the alley behind your home. The Town has a mandate to clean the alleys and expects the respect and assistance of residents in maintaining them in a tidy fashion.
The same is true of boulevards. Please do not leave piles of dirt or other items on the boulevards. The Town appreciates those residents who have improved the boulevard in front of their homes, and certainly the boulevard may be used for parking, but if piles of dirt are left on them for extended periods, residents risk having the Town haul that dirt away.
Please do your part to keep the Town tidy and a community of which we can be proud.
Thank you – Town of Pilot Butte
