The Town of Pilot Butte has a vast variety of recreational activities and recreational organizations available for its residents.
The town of Pilot Butte’s Recreation Centre is "grand central station” for the community. The town’s arena was built in the 1970s and plays host to many winter activities such as minor hockey, ringette, recreational hockey, figure skating, as well as the Jr. B Storm Hockey Club of the Praire Junior Hockey League. In the summer months the Recreation centre is home for many summer events such as lacrosse, and Inline hockey. It also is a great place for weddings and other social functions.
Pilot Butte also offers four regulation softball diamonds, one of which is available for night games. Throughout the summer the Town of Pilot Butte offers a recreational Slo-pitch league. The diamonds are also home to Pilot Butte Minor Ball. These Diamonds have played host to many tournaments including Canadian Senior Men’s Westerns.
Pilot Butte also has a Community hall which is located within the Recreation Centre. The hall has just recently gone through a thorough facelift to its kitchen as well as washrooms and main area. This 150 seat hall is a great place to host a social event.
The Pilot Butte Golden Sunset Club is the seniors' facility attached to the Recreation Center. The Seniors' Club offers many games and social activities for seniors in the community. A small membership fee is required to join.
The rodeo grounds next to highway 46 is host to Pilot Butte’s Annual Rodeo. It is also home to the Pilot Butte Gymkhana and Riding Club. It is available for rent in the near future. Facilities include bleachers and a newly built concession stand.
