Fire Hydrant Photo Contest
In anticipation of the Summer Splash Spray Down event featuring the Pilot Butte Fire Department coming up on July 12th, we’re hosting a Fire Hydrant Photo Contest! 📸🤳💧Submit a photo of/with your favourite painted fire hydrant for a chance to win a summer gift basket!
1. Take a photo of or with your favourite hydrant.
2. Comment & share your photo on THIS post on our Facebook page OR email the photo submission to recreation@pilotbutte.ca.
3. Each photo/submission is one entry.
4. All submissions will be entered to win a Summer Fun gift basket.
5. The contest closes July 10th & winner will be announced on July 11th.

Fun Facts about our painted fire hydrants:
🤩 Over 60 hydrants have been painted throughout town!
😮 Each hydrant painting takes approximately 5 hours to paint, some with larger designs have been up to 8 hours!
📆 Hydrant painting started in 2022.
🧑🎨 The current hydrant painters are retiring from the hydrant painting! If you're a local artist and interested in continuing the amazing work they've done reach out and we can put you in touch to discuss further!
