Coyote safety tips
As winter turns to spring, coyotes may be seen more often in rural and around urban areas.
Tips to stay safe and help prevent conflicts:
– Never feed coyotes! Prevent unintentional feeding by keeping pet food inside, cleaning up after your pet and secure trash.
– When walking your dog, use a short leash and keep a safe distance.
– If you encounter a coyote, make loud noises to scare it away. Do not run away or turn your back on a coyote.
