Keep fire hydrants clear
In an emergency situation, every second matters! An inaccessible snow covered/blocked fire hydrant can impede the process. Help keep our community safe by keeping fire hydrants clear of snow and accessible.
Friendly reminders:
🚫 Please do not put snow from your driveway or front sidewalk onto or blocking a fire hydrant.
✅ Clearing a path to and approximately 3ft around the fire hydrant allows space for the fire department to access it and work.
✅ If you see a fire hydrant that is covered in snow or inaccessible and are able to help remove the snow, we appreciate it!
☎️ Town crews check and clear fire hydrants, but if you see one that is inaccessible and aren’t able to clear it, please let us know.
