UPDATE on Fire ban issued on Friday July 26, 2024
UPDATE ON MONDAY JULY 29TH:
The fire ban is still in effect until further notice, based on the Provincial Fire Danger maps that have our area in Extreme danger and no moisture expected until August 5th. The Fire Ban will be reviewed on Thursday August 1, 2024.
ISSUANCE OF FIRE BAN: Friday, July 26, 2024 at 1:00 pm.
At the current time, Friday, July 26, 2024, fire conditions in the area are extremely high. As recommended by local Fire Chiefs, the Town of Pilot Butte is issuing a Fire Ban for ALL areas of the municipality effective immediately. Please DO NOT start any controlled burns, do not burn grass or leaves in your yard, ditches or field and do not set off fireworks of any kind or sky lanterns. Firepits are NOT allowed during the fire ban.
This Fire Ban will be reviewed on Monday, July 29, 2024. Ratepayers can monitor the fire weather conditions on the provincial fire map found at https://www.saskpublicsafety.ca/emergenc…/active-incidents
