Public Hearing: Discretionary Use Application - Arbor Street
When:Public Notice is hereby given that the Council of the Town of Pilot Butte intends to review an application for the issuance of a Development Permit for the Discretionary Use of a short-term rental (Airbnb) within a developed basement suite of an existing dwelling. The subject property is located at 213 Arbor Street and is legally described as Lot 1-Blk/Par 41-Plan 97R77150 Ext 1.
Reasons
The applicant is intending to operate a short-term rental suite (Airbnb) in their walkout basement to provide temporary accommodation for visitors to the community and will accommodate a maximum of two guests at any one time. The property owners will continue to live upstairs, and the basement is proposed to be used as a short-term rental accommodation.
PUBLIC INSPECTION:
Any person may inspect the proposed Discretionary Use application at the Town Office, located at 222 Diamond Place, Town of Pilot Butte, during regular office hours: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday,excluding statutory holidays. Copies ofthe proposed application are available forinspection at the Town Office.
REPRESENTATIONS:
The Municipality is open to accepting any representations from the public that state their concerns or comments regarding the proposed Discretionary Use Application. Written, online, or any other representations shall be submitted with your full name and address no later than June 17, 2026, to the Town Office or email to planner@pilotbutte.ca
PUBLIC HEARING: Council will hold a public hearing for the proposed Discretionary Use Application on June 22, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., in the Town’s Council Chambers to hear any person or group that wants to comment on theproposed development.
