Below you will find information and links that will be helpful for your move to Pilot Butte.

Town Office location & contact information
Visit the Town Office location & contact information page for more information.
Please contact the Town Office to notify us of your move, receive an emailed Welcome Package containing helpful information for your move & stop by the office once you’ve arrived in Town to pick up a Welcome Package containing information & items from a variety of local businesses.  We love to meet our new residents!

Utilities

  • Water and sewer utility services are provided by the Town of Pilot Butte. Please notify the Town Office of your move to/in Pilot Butte to ensure we have your current contact information. Visit the Update Your Contact Information page to complete a contact information form. For more information on Water and Sewer utilities visit the Property Tax and Utilities page.
    *Utility accounts will automatically be transferred into your name shortly after you take ownership of your new home. There will not be a disruption to your service during this transition.
    We will require you to provide your contact information so we can provide your utility notices to you.
  • SaskPower and SaskEnergy supply electricity and natural gas.

E-notices
The Town offers e-notices as alternative delivery method to mailed delivery for Utility Notices, Tax Notices, Assessment Notices and payment receipts. As of February 2024, the Town implemented the Customer Portal program, where residents can register for an account to access current and past (as of your sign up date, previous notices are not uploaded) utility, tax notices and receipts and current account balances! Community Directory
The Town has created a Community Directory document/PDF that contains lots of great information about Pilot Butte such as our facilities, recreation & parks, features about Pilot Butte, and business directory and Community Programs & Organization contacts and more. Visit the Community Directory page to view and/or print this document. Printed booklet copies can also be obtained at the Town Office.

VoyentAlert!
The Town of Pilot Butte now uses the Voyent Alert! notification system to keep residents informed on day-to-day notices, general information and critical information.  Examples of notices sent using this system include but are not limited to town events, road closures, policy or procedure changes which effect residents and local emergency alerts, as well as reminders for collection pick up days.  Visit the VoyentAlert! page to learn more and register.

Pets
Pilot Butte has a Dog and Cat Control Bylaw which requires owners to purchase a license for pets. For more information and to find a fillable/printable form visit the Pets page.

Parking
For information on parking and restrictions, visit the Parking page.

Permits
Building Permits are usually required for:

  • New Building construction
  • Garages and carports
  • Decks
  • Mobile Homes
  • Renovation, alteration or addition to an existing building
  • Demolition of an existing building
  • Basement development of a dwelling unit
  • Retaining walls
  • Change of use of a building

Building Permits are NOT usually required for:

  • Fences
  • Driveways and Parking lots
  • Sidewalks
  • Accessory Buildings 100 sq ft or less
  • Replacement using the same material and not affecting structural, electrical or mechanical systems (roofing, siding, windows)
  • Paint, decorating, laying carpet and general maintenance

The Town has a local newsletter that is published 10 times per year (September to June). The current digital edition and archived editions are always available on the News & Views webpage., and paper copies are available at numerous collections areas:
– the blue pick-up box by the Post Office

– Town Office
