Are you ready to be the face of summer excitement and energy in the Town of Pilot Butte? We are seeking passionate individuals to join our team as Summer Fun Ambassadors! As a Summer Fun Ambassador, you will embody the spirit of summertime joy, spreading happiness and creating unforgettable experiences for our community.
The Town of Pilot Butte is seeking two young and enthusiastic individuals to spend their summer outdoors sharing our beautiful community with locals and visitors.
This position is ideal for an outgoing ‘people’ person who can use their strong communication skills to engage with visitors helping them find the activities and experiences that build incredible memories.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Engagement and Interaction: Interact with community members of all ages, from children to seniors, creating memorable moments through games, contests, and storytelling sessions.
Event Coordination: Organize and execute a variety of summer-themed events, including outdoor games, picnics, water activities, and more. Ensure each event is filled with laughter and enjoyment.

Promotion and Outreach: Spread the word about our summer events and activities through creative strategies, including social media posts, flyers, and word-of-mouth promotion. By creating engaging text, image and video content that promotes the Town’s values and mission.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow Ambassadors to brainstorm new ideas and ensure seamless execution of all activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to work in all weather conditions while performing physically demanding work.
- Take pride in their work and put forward the best possible product.
- Be a team player and work well with co-workers under minimal supervision.
- Operate equipment respectfully and safely.
- Have the ability to work various shifts including weekends.
The applicant must:
- Be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident or have refugee status in Canada.
- Note: Non-Canadian students or graduates holding temporary work visas or awaiting permanent status are not eligible.
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Be between 15* and 30 years of age at the start of employment (*where permissible under provincial/territorial labour laws).
- Meet the specific eligibility criteria of the program to which you apply.
- Be willing to commit to the full duration of the work assignment (minimum 35 hours a week). does not have another full-time job while employed.
- Provide a Criminal Record Check
Desirable Training and Experience:
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and highly professional with superior judgment.
- Strong interpersonal & public relations skills, report writing, leadership, creative and innovation skills.
- Knowledge and experience with all social media platforms.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and direction, as well as part of a team environment. Demonstrate cooperative attitude with management, staff, partners, and customers.
- Self-motivated and experienced with administrative duties.
- Manage time and duties effectively
