June is Parks & Recreation Month!

The Town of Pilot Butte has numerous parks through out Town to enjoy with scenic views, walking paths & playgrounds. Stay tuned for more info on upcoming activities and events through June to celebrate Parks and Recreation Month!

Parks & Recreation Month Week 1

Parks & Recreation month kicked off this week with sprucing up the parks & town by adding flowers & 47 new trees!

4 trees added to the Skate Park

14 trees added to the Soccer Pitch Athletic Field

4 trees added to the park between Mackenzie Cres & Hudson Drive

11 trees added to the park between Aspen & Plains

14 trees added to the park in the Plains

Hanging flower baskets were placed throughout Town

The Beautification Committee & volunteers weeded and planted flowers throughout Inland Park

Other notables that took place this week include weed spraying throughout town, hydroseeding in several parks and the Spray Park opening for the 2025 season!

Parks & Recreation Month Week 2

For week 2 of Parks & Recreation Month we’re hosting a Pictures in the Park Photo Contest!
Pilot Butte has many great parks & green spaces, we’d love to see our residents out enjoying these amenities! Below is how you can enter the contest:

1. Take photo of a park or yourself/family having fun at a park
2. Comment & share your photo on THIS post on our Facebook page
3. OR email the photo submission to recreation@pilotbutte.ca
4. Each photo/submission is one entry
5. All submissions will be entered to win a Summer Fun gift basket!
6. The contest closes June 18th & winner will be announced on June 20th

Parks & Recreation Month Week 3

For week 3 of Parks & Recreation Month we are hosting a I Spy in Pilot Butte Parks activity contest! 9 park photo hints have been provided and numbered. Identify the park location corresponding with the numbered photo hints on the form. Email your completed form by June 25th to recreation@pilotbutte.ca for a chance to win a summer basket! The draw will be made and announced on June 26th!

Printed hints & forms can be obtained in the Recreation Lobby or on the click on the image above to download and print the form!

Even if you know which parks these are, this is a great opportunity to go on an outdoor adventure to visit the locations! 🌳
