Water & Sewer Utilities

Utilities are billed on a monthly basis at the start of the month, after the month in which the usage occurred, and are due at the end of the billing month.  Interest will be charged at the rate of 1.5% per month on unpaid balances.

We encourage new residents to call into the Town Office when moving to town. We will transfer the account and billing into the new owner's name when we receive confirmation of the title change from ISC (Land Titles) using the date of official title transfer. Water service is rarely turned off.

Receiving your Utility Notice electronically

Residents have the option to receive Utility Notices by regular mail or by e-notice.

The Town would like to encourage residents to sign up for e-notices and e-receipts. By receiving your Utility Notice and/or receipts electronically, the Town saves on the costs of paper, labour and postage and of these postage being the most significant cost. Currently we produce over 9500 pieces of mail annually related to Utility Notices.

Notices and receipts are uploaded to the Customer Portal website where they are stored and can be referenced at anytime and an email notification is sent via the e-mail address provided.
