APPEAL INFORMATION:
If you believe there is a mistake in your assessment you may appeal your assessment within the 30 days from when the assessment roll is open. You are first required to contact SAMA to discuss the assessment with them. An appeal should be filed by completing the form on the back of your Assessment Notice and delivering it to the Pilot Butte Municipal Office – 222 Diamond Place with the $300 appeal fee. If your appeal is successful, you will be refunded the full $300 fee. The appeal fee helps cover the costs associated with the Resident Appeal Board reviewing and hearing an appeal. The Board is made up of three members of the public who meet as needed—often multiple times—to carefully consider each appeal throughout the review process.
