The Town of Pilot Butte has parking regulations in place to help maintain safe, accessible streets and support regular road maintenance and snow removal operations.

Residents are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the following parking regulations and seasonal restrictions.

Town Boulevards

What is a Town Boulevard?

A Town boulevard is the Town-owned land located between the edge of the paved roadway and a resident's property line.

Town boulevards may be used for parking vehicles that are in regular, daily use, subject to seasonal parking restrictions.

Important reminders:

Town boulevards are not intended for the storage of campers, trailers, boats, unused vehicles, or other personal property.
Vehicles parked on boulevards must be in regular use and comply with applicable parking restrictions.
On streets without curbs, parking on the pavement is not permitted at any time.

Seasonal Parking Restrictions

Winter Parking Restrictions: November 1 – April 30

Winter parking restrictions are in effect annually from November 1 to April 30.

During this period, a 72-hour parking restriction applies to vehicles parked on Town boulevards.

This restriction is intended to prevent long-term vehicle storage on boulevards and ensure that streets remain accessible for winter maintenance.

Moving a vehicle around the block and returning it to the same parking location does not satisfy the intent of this restriction.

Parking During Snowfall & Snow Removal

To help ensure efficient and effective snow removal, residents are asked to avoid parking vehicles on Town streets and boulevards when snowfall is expected or snow removal operations are underway.

Keeping streets and boulevards clear allows Town equipment to safely remove snow and maintain accessible roadways.

Please keep in mind:

Town boulevards are used for snow storage during winter maintenance operations.
Vehicles parked on streets or boulevards may interfere with snow clearing equipment.
Moving vehicles off streets and boulevards during snowfall helps crews complete snow removal more efficiently.

We appreciate the cooperation of residents in helping keep our streets safe and accessible throughout the winter months.

Parking Violations & Enforcement

Vehicles parked in violation of Town parking regulations may be subject to ticketing and/or towing.

Residents are responsible for ensuring their vehicles are parked in accordance with applicable Town bylaws and seasonal parking restrictions.
