Social Media, Screen time, Online threats & Youth Mental Health session

Parents are invited to attend the Social Media, Screen time, Online threats & Youth Mental Health session on Saturday March 14th 3:00-5:00pm at the Community Hall This session is hosted and designed by Sergeant AJ Rodier, member of Regina Police Service with a number of years as a school resource officer and Jen Yim-Rodier, former teacher and Canadian Certified Counsellor in Regina.
While youth often receive important information, parents and caregivers also play a critical role in understanding these topics and establishing clear, consistent boundaries at home. This session is designed to equip parents with the knowledge and tools they need to confidently support their children. The presentation includes parent-specific guidance, strategies, and tips that are designed to support adults in their role. Some of the topics covered may also be considered sensitive or heavy in nature. This presentation is preventative, so it is best suited to parents of younger children (Pre-school to Grade 4), but all parents and caregivers are welcome!
This session is intended for parents and caregivers only. It is not suitable for children as information provided is parent specific with tips for parents we do not want to teach children. Attendees will be provided with printed materials, resources as well as pencils to take notes.
