Road ice maintenance
With the recent fluctuating temperatures and freeze–thaw cycles, our Public Works crews are actively working throughout the week to improve road safety and conditions. Crews are focusing on levelling ruts and reducing ice build-up along the edges of streets.
We appreciate your patience as this work takes place and remind residents to drive carefully and allow extra space around maintenance equipment.
Reminders:
❗A sand/salt mixture is still available for residents to obtain and use on your property and adjacent sidewalk at the Maintenance Shop on Railway Avenue. Please bring a container to obtain the sand/salt.
❌ Snow and ice placed on municipal streets, sidewalks, pathways, or parking lots by individuals or companies is prohibited. When clearing snow or ice on or at the end of your property please ensure it is not pushed onto the street, as this causes ruts when it freezes.
