Kids are back to school today, September 2nd!
With students heading back to class, here are a few important reminders for drivers:
3️⃣0️⃣ The speed limit in the school zone is 30 km/h.
🚲🚶♀️ Watch for kids walking and biking to and from school, and be especially cautious at crossings and intersections.
🚌🛑 Watch for school buses. Be alert for amber and red flashing lights and always stop when a school bus has its stop arm extended.
🚍🚸 Bus-only parking zone on 6th Street:
There is a designated no-parking zone reserved for school buses during the morning from 8:35–8:50 a.m. and at the end of the school day from 3:27–3:42 p.m. Please keep this area clear for buses.
