Celebrating Community Improvements & Caring for Our Shared Spaces!

As we look back on the previous season, we want to highlight some of the projects and improvements completed throughout Pilot Butte!

✨ Some of this year's improvements include:
• New drinking water fountain at Prairie Lily Field (operational in 2027) — thank you to the Beautification Committee for purchasing this addition!
• Revitalization of the monument on the Butte
• New fence toppers on all ball diamonds — thank you to the Rodeo Committee, Old Timers, and Sask Lotteries for generously funding this project!
• Ongoing maintenance of our parks, playgrounds, and facilities.

⚠️ A Friendly Reminder: Respect Our Community Spaces
While we celebrate these improvements, we also want to highlight some challenges behind the scenes.

Unfortunately, not all maintenance is planned. Both the skatepark and the monument on the Butte have required additional cleanup following spray paint and vandalism. The Spray Park washrooms have also needed additional cleaning and repairs due to messes on walls, toilets clogged with plants, sticks, and sand, and damaged fixtures.

More recently, three Spray Park benches were damaged and taped off while repairs or replacements are arranged.

💰 Did you know? Replacing just three Spray Park benches costs at least $14,000!

These unexpected expenses require additional staff time and are paid for through municipal funds — your taxpayer dollars, that could otherwise support community improvements and projects.

❤️ Let's Take Pride in Pilot Butte!
We encourage parents and guardians to remind children about respecting public spaces, equipment, and amenities. These facilities are here for everyone to enjoy!

📢 If you notice vandalism or damaged equipment, please report it to the Town so it can be addressed and investigated.

Together, we can protect our community investments and keep Pilot Butte a place we're proud to call home!
