Did you know - Dog & Cat Control Bylaw No.11-2017

The purpose of the Dog & Cat Control Bylaw No. 11-2017 is to promote the safety, health and welfare of the people and protection of people and property in the Town of Pilot Butte. 🐶🐱
 
Did you know the Dog and Cat Control Bylaw (11-2017) states that:
- Every person in Town who owns, possesses or harbors a dog/cat shall obtain a license from the Town Office.
- No dog/cat shall run at large in the municipality - Dogs/cats shall always be on leash.
- If your dog/cat has defecated on a public or private property, you shall immediately remove and dispose of the defecation in a sanitary manner.
- Any person who is found and deemed guilty of an infraction of this bylaw is subject to a voluntary fine payment (Schedule A of Bylaw No. 11-2017). This can include $100 voluntary payments for allowing a dog/cat to run at large and $20 voluntary payment for failure to remove defecation.
