Public Notice: Notice of Intent to Amend Bylaw No. 02-2023

Public notice is hereby given that the Council of the Town of Pilot Butte intends to amend the Zoning Bylaw No. 02-2023 and adopt Bylaw No. 02-2026, under The Planning and Development Act, 2007.

INTENT: To rezone the highlighted parcel D on the figure below from R2 – Urban Country Residential District to R2-C – Contract Zone to allow a site-specific development permitting one new house on a 5-acre residential lot, which exceeds the maximum lot size permitted in the R2 District. The subject parcel is located at 450 South Butte Street, Pilot Butte and is legally described as Blk/Par B-Plan 102089000.

PUBLIC INSPECTION: Any person may inspect the proposed Bylaw No. 02-2026 at the Town Office, located at 222 Diamond Place, Town of Pilot Butte, during regular office hours: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays. Copies of the proposed bylaw are available for inspection at the Town Office.

REPRESENTATIONS: The Municipality is open to accepting any representations from the public that state their concerns or comments regarding the proposed Bylaw No. 02-2026. Written, online, or any other representations shall be submitted with your full name and address no later than June 3, 2026, to the Town Office or email to planner@pilotbutte.ca

PUBLIC HEARING: Council will hold a public hearing for the proposed Bylaw No. 02-2026 on June 8, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., in the Town’s Council Chambers to hear any person or group that wants to comment on the proposed bylaw. Please call or send us an email with your full name and civic address no later than June 3, 2026, to confirm your participation in the public hearing.
