Reminder to keep doors locked
The Town has been made aware of reports of individuals checking vehicle doors during overnight hours in Pilot Butte recently.
We would like to remind residents to take a few simple precautions to help protect their belongings and prevent crimes of opportunity:
🚗 Lock your vehicles and ensure all windows are closed.
🔑 Remove valuables and keys from your vehicles, even when parked at home.
🏠 Secure your property by locking garage, shed and home doors.
👀 Stay alert! If you notice suspicious activity, contact the police immediately. Do not approach or confront suspicious individuals.
Residents who have security camera footage, photos or other information that may assist with the ongoing investigation are encouraged to contact the White Butte RCMP Detachment's non-emergency line, 306-781-5050, to discuss and arrange how to provide the evidence.
When calling, please reference "Pilot Butte Thanksgiving weekend" so staff can connect your information to the ongoing file.
Thank you for doing your part to help keep our community safe!
