Public Hearing: Bylaw No. 02-2023 - Discovery Ridge Phase II Zoning Map Change
When:Public notice is hereby given that the Council of the Town of Pilot Butte intends to amend the Zoning Bylaw No. 02-2023 and adopt Bylaw No. 08-2026, under The Planning and Development Act, 2007. BYLAW NO. 02 -2023 - ZONING MAP CHANGE To rezone approximately 4.46 acres of land within the Discovery Ridge Phase II legally described as proposed Lot 16, Block 10, Plan 101522977 (shown as parcel 3) on the figure below from R1 A – Single Detached Residential District to R3 - Multi Unit Residential District.
INTENT: Rezoning the 4.46 acres (1.80 hectares) of land within Discovery Ridge Phase II legally described as Lot 16, Block 10, Plan 101522977 from R1 A - Single Detached Residential District to R3 - Multi Unit Residential District is to accommodate future medium-density residential development. The proposed Multi Unit Residential development will consist of duplexes and single-detached bungalows under a condominium ownership structure, to be managed by a Condominium Board.
PUBLIC INSPECTION: Any person may inspect the proposed Bylaw No. 08-2026 at the Town Office, located at 222 Diamond Place, Town of Pilot Butte, during regular office hours: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays. Copies of the proposed bylaw are available for inspection at the Town Office.
REPRESENTATIONS: The Municipality is open to accepting any representations from the public that state their concerns or comments regarding the proposed Bylaw No. 08-2026. Written, online, or any other representations shall be submitted with your full name and address no later than July 8, 2026, to the Town Office or email to jeannie@pilotbutte.ca or dagmar@pilotbutte.ca.
PUBLIC HEARING: Council will hold a public hearing for the proposed Bylaw No. 08-2026 on July 13, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., in the Town’s Council Chambers to hear any person or group that wants to comment on the proposed bylaw. Please call or send us an email with your full name and civic address no later than July 8, 2026, to confirm your participation in the public hearing.
