Be aware of Scams & Frauds!

We hear about frauds and scams far too often unfortunately, and anyone can be targeted! Ensure you are vigilant when it comes to something suspicious or out of the ordinary. If a call, inquiry or request seems suspicious, of urgent nature or too good to be true, ensure you proceed with caution, contact the person or organization directly to ensure the information you received is accurate and do not provide personal information. The Town office does not reach out to request personal or banking information from residents.

As a Municipal office, we have controls and processes in place to ensure your information and tax dollars are protected. Documentation is completed and all payments are reviewed by Council for processing. Cyber security programs are in place and all staff take annual cyber security training to stay informed and vigilant.
