Mosaic Garden Pole Workshop
Led by Kathy of Kattail Acres, you will create a stunning 30” garden pole topped with a solar light to display in your garden, on your deck, or in your sunroom.
This is an intensive 3-day intermediate mosaic workshop. Participants must have previous mosaic experience. During the workshop, participants will create their garden pole using a 4” diameter PVC pipe, gaining experience with a variety of mosaic tiles and tools while learning proper grouting techniques.
Working with small mosaic tile pieces requires patience, precision, and attention to detail.
Participants will have two design options to choose from:
- A free-form floral design that allows for creativity and personal expression.
- A more structured design with a pattern to follow and a choice of colour palette.
Participants will receive an installation sleeve and solar light, along with instructions for installing their finished pole in the ground. The wooden stand shown in the image is intended for indoor display or winter storage.
Prior to the class, participants may be contacted by the instructor to confirm their preferred design and colour palette so that the required tiles can be ordered.
Please note: Exterior-grade products will be used, including silicone, which has an odour. This workshop is not scent-free.
Note from the Instructor: Please bring a lunch, snacks, and drinks, as well as a cushion or your own chair for added comfort. A fridge, microwave, water bottle filling station, and Wi-Fi will be available for your convenience.
